Impilo Projects

Impilo Projects develops and supplies aeroponic and nutrient film technique (NFT) growing systems for personal, residential and commercial use. Its range includes vertical aeroponic units in several sizes, NFT systems, custom aeroponic living walls, nutrients, cloning sponges and net pots. The company also offers customized systems and shares instructions and videos explaining how its growing systems work.

Impilo Projects presents its technology as a way to grow food in controlled environments, with an emphasis on efficient use of space and resources. The company highlights potential benefits including reduced water consumption, labour requirements and carbon emissions, as well as higher growing density per square metre. Its systems combine aeroponics with greenhouse technology and recirculating vertical design.

The website states that Impilo Projects is collaborating with the University of Pretoria’s Plant Science and Proef Plaas teams on aeroponics research over a five-year period. It also notes that the brand received Prestige Awards in 2020 and 2021/2022, and invites customers to shop online, explore project galleries and contact its team.
