About ImPulsTanz
ImPulsTanz is the Vienna International Dance Festival, founded in 1984 and now the largest festival for contemporary dance and performance. Every summer, ImPulsTanz presents a uniquely diverse program featuring contemporary dance performances, research projects, workshops, and musical acts. With over 60 productions from international and Austrian artists and companies, ImPulsTanz showcases its performances in theaters and museums across Vienna.
The festival attracts 47,000 visitors each year, who enjoy an unforgettable experience of dance, music, and art. Additionally, ImPulsTanz offers more than 210 workshops and research projects, taught by 134 international instructors and choreographers, catering to both beginners and professionals. The festival also extends its reach beyond Vienna, organizing workshops and retreats in Italy.
