INSIGHT

IN-SIGHT is a nonprofit organization that has supported people who are blind or visually impaired for more than 100 years. Its mission is to help individuals build confidence, develop practical skills, and live with greater independence. Through personalized services, training, and community programs, IN-SIGHT helps people make everyday activities more accessible and continue working, traveling, cooking, pursuing hobbies, and staying connected.

Its services include peer support, low vision evaluations, assistive technology training, and instruction in independent living skills. Evaluations help participants explore ways to make the most of their remaining vision through magnification, lighting, glare control, and environmental adjustments. IN-SIGHT also offers recreation programs, workshops, summer camp for children, resources, and The Outlook Shop. Programs provide opportunities to learn, build skills, and connect with others experiencing vision loss. The organization serves individuals and also offers information and support to their families, friends, and caregivers. Based in Warwick, Rhode Island, IN-SIGHT invites community members to learn about its work, volunteer, donate, and take part in its programs and events.
