Inaburra Preschool is a not-for-profit, community-based early childhood service in Menai, New South Wales, serving families in the local area. Established by Sutherland Baptist Church as a ministry to young families, it first opened in 1970 and has since moved to its current site on Old Illawarra Road. Its name, chosen by Menai Baptist Church, is a Wiradjuri word meaning “dream.”
The preschool aims to empower children to build confidence and a strong sense of identity, providing an environment where they can learn and flourish. It offers a preschool program for children aged three to five, with capacity for up to 80 children per day. The service operates Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., during NSW Department of Education school terms. Limited additional-hour sessions are available from 7:30 to 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. for an extra cost.
Inaburra is licensed by the NSW Department of Education and managed by a board representing Menai Baptist Church, parents and the preschool director.
