About inCiderJapan
inCiderJapan G.K. is an internationally recognized promotion and marketing events company. They are renowned for publishing inCiderJapan, which is Asia's first and only bilingual magazine dedicated to everything cider. In addition to managing the prestigious Japan Cider Cup, they also import, distribute, and retail world-class ciders and cider-related goods.
The Japan Cider Cup, established in November 2022 by inCiderJapan, is the country's premier people's choice awards tasting competition and international cider event. This competition is open to all domestic cider producers, importers, and international entries. The entered ciders go through three rounds of judging by members of the public in Japan, as well as food and drink professionals and notable guest cider experts from around the world. The winners are announced and awarded prizes at the Japan Cider Cup event in April of the following year.
In addition, inCiderJapan is also the driving force behind Global Cider Connect, an initiative launched in 2020 to promote cider and cider tourism in Japan. This project brought together cidermakers from six countries for a world-first six-nation cider collaboration. Despite the challenges posed by Covid-19, the ciders were successfully made and released to the public in May 2022. inCiderJapan is currently exploring opportunities to expand this project and connect other cidermaking areas of Japan with the global cider community.
