About Inclusion4Schools
Inclusion4Schools is a brand dedicated to promoting inclusivity in education across Europe. Our mission is to gather and provide comprehensive information about data collection methods and practices in order to create an internationally applicable tool. We aim to facilitate longitudinal, transnational, and comparative studies on educational inequalities, benefiting researchers and policymakers alike.
Our main product is a policy recommendation document, which includes practical information about current data collection methods and the challenges associated with data access. To develop this document, we conducted online surveys and organized 13 think tank events from December 2021 to January 2023. We also gathered feedback from participants at the Measuring educational inequalities in Europe: methodological, ethical, and policy aspects event in September 2023.
Through our research, we discovered the clear need for large-scale empirical research on educational inequalities. Our findings highlighted the necessity for data harmonization and the use of census data. We also identified the importance of creating safe spaces for research and involving NGOs and local authorities to enhance data collection.
