Indian Run EEC

Indian Run Environmental Education Center, LLC (IREEC) is a Glenmoore, Pennsylvania-based organization that promotes knowledge and stewardship of native wildlife and ecosystems. Rather than hosting visitors at a dedicated facility, IREEC brings its educational programs and exhibits directly to schools, community groups, and other venues. Its presentations feature live birds of prey and reptiles, along with visuals, interactive activities, and natural-history materials such as feathers, furs, and bones.

Programs are available by request for school and Scout groups, libraries, retirement centers, businesses, community events, and private celebrations, including birthdays and weddings. IREEC’s animal ambassadors include hawks, owls, a vulture, snakes, turtles, and a tarantula. The seven raptors are non-releasable because of injuries sustained in the wild. Animals and educational materials are held under permits from relevant Pennsylvania and U.S. wildlife agencies.

Founded and led by educator Dawn White, IREEC draws on her experience in naturalist and environmental education dating to 1996.
