About Indigenous Climate Hub
The Indigenous Climate Hub is an innovative initiative designed to empower First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities across Canada by providing them with essential resources and a platform for sharing knowledge on climate change. Launched by Okwaho Equal Source, an Indigenous consultancy, the hub serves as a national online space for collaboration, learning, and storytelling related to climate adaptation and environmental stewardship.
The hub offers various programs, including the First Nation Adapt Program, Indigenous Community-Based Climate Monitoring, and Climate Change Preparedness in the North, aimed at addressing the unique climate challenges faced by Indigenous populations. Additionally, it features a resource library, community adaptation projects, and a podcast that highlights Indigenous experiences in climate change and resource management.
Through its commitment to fostering connections and sharing impactful stories, the Indigenous Climate Hub aims to elevate Indigenous perspectives in climate action and contribute to the broader dialogue on environmental issues in Canada.
