Indigenous Guardians Toolkit

The Indigenous Guardians brand represents a vital network of programs dedicated to the stewardship and management of Indigenous lands and waters across Canada. Acting as the "eyes and ears" of their territories, Indigenous Guardians embody numerous roles, such as monitors, rangers, and watchers, reflecting the unique cultural and linguistic diversity of Indigenous communities. The Indigenous Guardians Toolkit serves as a comprehensive resource designed to support these hands-on stewardship efforts.

It provides guidance on establishing and managing Indigenous Guardian programs, from creating a governance structure to funding initiatives and engaging the community. The toolkit also emphasizes the importance of training, data collection, and youth involvement in fostering sustainable practices that honor ancestral laws and traditions. By connecting Indigenous Guardians across Canada, the brand not only promotes environmental stewardship but also strengthens cultural identities and communal bonds for generations to come
