INDRI

INDRI (Initiative for Development, Ecological Restoration, and Innovation) is a Madagascar-based center for expertise, collective intelligence, and advocacy working to advance green and inclusive growth. Its objective is to help make Madagascar prosperous through ecological, economic, and social solutions across urban, terrestrial, and marine landscapes. Rather than relying on disconnected projects, INDRI builds coalitions among government, businesses, civil society, and researchers to establish shared visions and strategies, inform policy, and bring effective solutions to scale.

The organization conducts strategic analysis, supports collaborative planning, and advocates for change. Its initiatives address forest protection and ecological restoration, promising value chains, clean cooking, private-sector and startup support, urban development, and national economic policy. INDRI also provides INDRI Connect, a participatory digital library focused on the environment, alongside research, publications, and knowledge-sharing resources. Through these programs, it connects local experience with national action, helping stakeholders tackle poverty and environmental degradation while creating jobs and economic opportunities. Its work spans cities, forests, land restoration, and Madagascar’s marine and coastal areas.
