Indus Earth Trust (IET) is a Pakistan-based, non-profit organization that is dedicated to sustainable development. Established in 2000, IET initially focused on assisting neglected coastal communities in the country. However, they soon recognized that addressing a single issue alone wouldn't lead to meaningful progress.

Instead, IET adopted an integrated approach to development, targeting the underlying challenges faced by these communities in six key program areas. These program areas include Livelihood Employment and Enterprise Development, Livelihood Support Infrastructure, Water and Community Physical Infrastructure, Alternative Energy Solutions, Indigenous Housing Systems, and Food Security Drought Mitigation and Adaptation. By tackling these areas simultaneously, IET aims to uplift and empower communities in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.

Currently, IET operates primarily in Sindh and Balochistan provinces, covering approximately 900 kilometers along the coast. Their work encompasses 13 Union Councils and around 392 villages. Recently, they have expanded their efforts to include urban katchi abadis in Karachi, recognizing the need to address issues faced by marginalized communities in urban areas as well.
