Industry Meets Makers (IMM) is an open innovation community that aims to foster collaboration between top industry companies and the creative maker scene. The core concept of IMM involves industrial companies, SMEs, and research organizations issuing "briefings" in various future technology areas such as robotics, AI, and 3D printing. These briefings invite innovative makers, including start-ups, designers, and researchers, to collaborate on solving these challenges.

The program includes a four-month co-creation period to develop solutions and potentially launch joint projects. Recent IMM events have showcased the synthetic data challenge by AITAU, the new health app by the District of Passau, and the AR exhibition experience by E. I.

N. S., Artivive, and Belvedere. Other offerings include smart plant care with INNsGRÜN, VR streaming with XrXperience, and sustainable glass processing with LiSEC.
