About International Network of Engaged Buddhists
INEB, or the International Network of Engaged Buddhists, is a global organization dedicated to promoting peace, social justice, and environmental sustainability through the teachings of Buddhism. Founded in 1989, INEB works in collaboration with various partners and sister organizations to address critical issues such as child protection, Buddhist chaplaincy, ecological concerns, and gender empowerment. At INEB, they believe in the transformative power of engaged Buddhism to effect positive change in the world.
Through their conferences, institutes, and engagements, they provide a platform for dialogue, learning, and collaboration among Buddhist practitioners, scholars, and activists. Their Seeds of Peace publication offers insightful articles and resources to inspire and inform. With a focus on peace and reconciliation, INEB also commemorates the legacy of Young Bodhisattva Sombath Somphone through the Sombath Somphone Memorial Fund.
