About INEVITABLE project
Inevitable Project is a consortium dedicated to revolutionizing the steel and nonferrous metals sectors through digitalization and innovative control technologies. Their ultimate goal is to enhance performance indicators and elevate the overall level of digitalization in these industries. Going beyond traditional process automation, the project implements the functionalities of Digital Factories and Industry 4.
0 concepts. The partners of Inevitable Project are working on developing and upgrading various technologies, including Electric Arc Furnace models and optimization frameworks, a supervision system for Cold Rolling mills, an online advisory system for process control in clean steel manufacturing, predictive process models for refining and continuous casting of liquid steel, and smart cognitive applications to support decision-making in nonferrous casting. With a start date of 2019-01-10 and a duration of 42 months, Inevitable Project aims to make a significant impact on these industries.
