About Information Pour l'Allaitement
Information Pour l'Allaitement (IPA) is an association created on March 25, 1996. Comprised of healthcare professionals from various backgrounds, including hospitals, private practices, and institutions, IPA's primary objective is to promote breastfeeding through the dissemination of information and the training of healthcare professionals. The association aims to protect, support, and encourage breastfeeding by collaborating with families, healthcare workers, national organizations, and international bodies such as UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO).
IPA adheres to the recommendations set forth by these organizations, including guidelines on breastfeeding benefits, economic implications, and related regulations. Additionally, the association supports various initiatives such as the Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes and the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative. IPA also develops public health projects and maintains a comprehensive database of resources on breastfeeding.
