Ingeobosque is a Colombia-based organization focused on research, education and environmental management to support ecosystem care and strengthen the relationship between people and their surroundings. Its work is guided by three principles: well-being, responsible action and thoughtful interaction with the world. Through applied research, the organization studies socio-environmental dynamics, ecosystems and natural resources, biodiversity, ecosystem services, sustainability, climate change, agriculture and food security. It also develops methodologies and supports environmental education, public outreach, community engagement and technical capacity building.
Ingeobosque provides services for nature-based solutions, environmental compensation and environmental studies. It helps project developers formulate, implement, monitor and audit nature-based initiatives, including work related to emissions reduction, community REDD+ approaches, forest plantations for conservation and water security funds. Its compensation services address project objectives, ecologically equivalent sites, indicators, governance and compliance, aiming to ensure at least no net loss of biodiversity. The organization also supports environmental alternatives assessments, impact studies, management plans, compliance reports and prefeasibility studies, combining applied research with consulting and regulatory support.
