initiAID is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2013 by students from Pforzheim University with the aim of empowering and encouraging people to fulfill their potential through educational and sports development projects. With members from all over Germany, initiAID envisions a world where everyone has the same opportunities and chances to achieve their dreams and goals. Their mission is to support and assist individuals in need by initiating education and sports projects, creating long-lasting positive effects for individuals, families, and society.

By offering volunteering opportunities, initiAID provides students and volunteers with life-changing experiences in intercultural and ethical dimensions, allowing them to make a meaningful contribution to disadvantaged people in South Africa. initiAID operates in Germany and South Africa, specifically in the townships of Vrygrond and Lavender Hill in Cape Town, where they work closely with local communities to address issues such as unemployment, lack of education, poverty, high crime rates, and health challenges. Through their initiatives like the Vrygrond Computer Lab, Vrygrond Living Lab, and Build Up Kids program, initiAID aims to create equal opportunities for young people and make a positive impact on their lives.
