The Painter And The Writer Gallery is an art gallery in the heritage-listed town of Maldon, Victoria, Australia. Located at 42 Main Street in the restored 1857 Upton & Son Butchers shop, it presents the work of its owners, artist and writer Initially NO and painter Glenn Floyd. Initially NO is the founder of the Sagacious Art Movement. The gallery brings together their paintings, books and other creative works in a historic setting that also includes Rays Stables Livery and Letting, once used for stagecoach horses travelling to the Maldon goldfields and local mines.
Visitors can browse original sculptures, handmade gift cards and detailed pen-and-ink works on paper, as well as enlarged versions on canvas. The collection also includes paintings on board and large stretched canvases in acrylic and oil, with the largest noted work measuring six by eight feet. The gallery is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests may also meet Glenn and Initially NO and explore the gallery’s shop, exhibition space and art-related blog.
