Initiativ Vest is an independent think tank dedicated to the development of society in Western Norway. They believe that the future of Western Norway should be built upon trust, the region's natural resources, and talent. In addition, they advocate for a decentralized power structure, where decisions are made closer to the people, natural resources, and value creation.

By highlighting the opportunities and challenges in the region, Initiativ Vest aims to contribute to public dialogue and promote knowledge, opinions, and suggestions that align with their desired development. They provide a meeting space for socially engaged individuals from various sectors to come together and foster collaboration. As a non-profit foundation with a board consisting of professionals from business, academia, and society in Western Norway, Initiativ Vest receives support from Agenda Vestlandet.
