Its reusable kit is designed for beginners and experienced artists, as well as families and children, offering an approachable way to explore hands-on art. Creators arrange colorful blocks on a baseplate to build a design, roll ink onto the assembled shapes, then press paper over the surface to make a print.

The kit includes a baseplate, colorful blocks, Schmincke printing inks, an Essdee roller, and other materials needed to get started. Blocks and the baseplate can be cleaned and reused, while water-based printing inks can also be used if they roll well and do not dry too quickly. For planning and experimenting, inkBlox offers an app for designing, editing, and managing pixel art projects, including a mirror feature to preview flipped designs. The brand recommends the kit for children around eight or nine and older, with adult supervision for younger users. inkBlox also plans expansion sets with additional block shapes, sizes, and colors.
