The Inland Empire Dahlia Society (IEDS) is a Spokane-area organization dedicated to dahlias and community gardening. Founded on November 14, 1961, the society held its first Dahlia Show at the Spokane County Fair in 1962 and remains part of the event, now known as the Spokane Interstate Fair & Expo Center. IEDS welcomes new members and holds seven general meetings each year at the Manito Park meeting room, alongside seasonal activities, committee meetings, an August picnic, and a December Christmas party.
Members receive the monthly newsletter, The Dahliafax. The society also sponsors the Spokane VA Medical Center Garden, which supplies many of the tubers offered at its annual sales. Three tuber sales are scheduled for 2027 at Northwest Seed & Pet locations on North Division Street and East Sprague Avenue, and at the Spokane Garden Expo.
IEDS is associated with the Federation of Northwest Dahlia Growers and affiliated with the American Dahlia Society. Annual membership costs $10 for an individual or $15 for a family
