In Liefde Gedragen is a maternal and family support practice based in Maastricht, founded by Irene Valkenberg. A developmental psychologist, lactation consultant, babywearing consultant, postpartum doula and mindfulness trainer, Irene supports expectant and new parents in developing confidence, connection and an intuitive approach to caring for their children. Her work is rooted in the importance of closeness, responding to a baby’s needs and building a secure attachment.
Services include breastfeeding guidance, babywearing consultations and carrier or wrap rental, psychological support during pregnancy and the postpartum period, and postpartum care and treatments. Irene also offers mindfulness training for pregnancy and birth, parents, children and young people. Group activities include pregnancy and postpartum circles, mother-daughter gatherings, workshops on babywearing and breastfeeding, and the monthly Mamacafé in Maastricht. Videos, meditations and practical information are also available through her YouTube channel.
