Inner Compass

Inner Compass provides occupational therapy and youth empowerment coaching for children and teenagers, supporting their emotional, social, and physical development. Led by Ashley Johnson, MA, OTR/L, a pediatric occupational therapist with a background in psychology and youth coaching, the practice takes an individualized, strengths-focused approach to helping young people build confidence and thrive.

Services address challenges such as sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine motor and visual motor development, self-care, social skills, and executive functioning. Occupational therapy uses purposeful activities to build practical skills, support participation in daily routines, and address barriers to learning and well-being. Empowerment coaching helps young people identify goals, recognize strengths, work through challenges, and develop resilience and a positive mindset.

Care begins with an initial assessment of a child’s needs, followed by an individualized plan and recommendations. Sessions may include movement, targeted therapeutic activities, guided discussion, and education for parents, along with strategies to practice at home. Ashley also collaborates with families, teams, and educators to support each child’s progress and personal growth.
