Inner Canvas Collective

The Inner Canvas Collective is a private practice and professional learning community focused on psychoanalytic and family-based play therapy. Led by Dr. Elyssa B. Smith, PhD, LPC, RPT-S, ACS, the organization supports clinicians seeking to deepen their practice and people looking for psychotherapy services. Its professional offerings include psychotherapy, play therapy, clinical supervision, consultation and evaluation, as well as in-service training and speaking.

The Collective offers APT-approved play therapy training and supervision for play therapists. Learning options include a 2025–26 training series, on-demand courses and membership, and focused programs covering psychoanalytic child and play therapy, play therapist supervision, the basics of clinical supervision, and symbols and themes in sandtray play therapy. It also provides continuing education units and a training store. Grounded in psychoanalytic and family-based approaches, its work emphasizes professional learning, supervision, and connection among practitioners. Through its services, courses, and resources, the Inner Canvas Collective helps play therapists and psychotherapists build skills and access a community of peers.
