The Academy of Innovative Learners is a preschool in Jefferson City, Missouri, focused on supporting each child’s growth and well-being. Its program combines a Montessori-style approach with an eco-friendly, healthy, and nurturing setting. The Academy aims to help children thrive while fostering respect for the global community, encouraging harmonious relationships across cultural differences, and promoting care for a healthy, sustainable environment.

Learning extends beyond the classroom through a staff-created outdoor trail inspired by the Runge Nature Center’s trail. Recognized with a Wildlife Habitat Certificate, the trail features activity stations, an outdoor reading area, a small stage with seating, and a balance beam. The school also incorporates Missouri’s Eat Smart / Move Smart program, offering fresh fruits and vegetables from its garden and teaching children about healthy portions and eating habits.
