Nutritional Technologies Research (INNU) has been at the forefront of developing innovative protein-rich ingredients since its inception in 2013. Committed to sustainability, INNU leverages cost-effective and readily available raw materials, including oil industry by-products, aquatic plants, insects, and legumes. The organization emphasizes the importance of ingredient purity, energy efficiency, and product quality while focusing on optimal amino acid profiles and digestibility.

Beyond ingredient development, INNU is actively engaged in research related to obesity, particularly within the Mexican population. Collaborating with the Institute for Obesity Research, they explore breast milk composition and its implications for maternal health. Their studies also investigate how proteins can aid in weight management by enhancing satiety and regulating glucose absorption.

INNU's research extends into social and environmental dimensions, as demonstrated through initiatives like the Knowledge and Perception of Edible Insects (KPEI) scale. With approximately 11 ongoing projects, INNU strives to create a healthier future while pioneering advancements in the plant-based protein industry, projected to grow significantly in the coming years.
