INORMS Community is a global network that unites research management societies and associations. Its primary aim is to facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing, and coordination among its member societies, thereby benefiting their individual memberships. Each member society operates independently with its own specific focus, constitution, membership, and geographical reach.

Through INORMS, the officers of these societies can exchange insights on national or regional challenges they face and learn from one another. The network enables the transfer of training course structures, support mechanisms, and the joint development of training materials. As the secretariat rotates among member associations, it is currently housed with SARIMA until May 2025.

INORMS organizes the prestigious INORMS Congress, with the 10th edition set to be hosted by the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) in Madrid, Spain in May 2025. Additionally, INORMS presents the Awards for Excellence in Research Management Leadership to recognize remarkable contributions to the research management profession worldwide. Furthermore, INORMS fosters collaboration through initiatives like the Hiroshima Statement and the INORMS Sister Association Reciprocal Benefit Strategy (ISARBS) aimed at offering discounted rates on events and publications within the INORMS community.
