INSA Lyon, the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Lyon, is a higher education and research institution based in Villeurbanne, with campus activity also associated with Oyonnax. It trains engineers through a broad range of programs, including preparatory studies, engineering degrees, work-study pathways, bachelor’s and master’s programs, specialised master’s degrees, doctoral studies, and continuing education. Students can also pursue double degrees, study in English, and take part in international exchanges.

Alongside teaching, INSA Lyon conducts research through its laboratories, research platforms, chairs, and collaborative projects. Campus life is supported by sports, cultural, health, social, and student-association services. INSA Lyon presents its approach through themes including excellence, diversity, innovation, openness, and civic-minded engineering, while also sharing research and knowledge with the wider public.
