Insect Neuro Lab, based at Durham University in the UK, is a leading research facility dedicated to exploring the intricate relationships between insects, their neurons, and the environments they inhabit. The lab engages in both laboratory and field studies, focusing on understanding the neural mechanisms driving insect behavior and ecology. Currently, Insect Neuro Lab is offering a self-funded interdisciplinary PhD project, along with various Master of Research (MRes) project opportunities for students interested in delving into this fascinating domain.

The lab is actively involved in a vibrant academic community, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration through events like the Biologists @100 conference. With a commitment to advancing the field of insect neurobiology, the lab fosters an environment ripe for discovery and innovation. Researchers and students are encouraged to connect and explore potential projects with faculty members like Lena, enhancing their scientific journeys in this exciting area of study
