About Albergue Inspira
Inspira is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a home and healthy meals for children who come to Lima for cancer treatment. In Peru, around 1800 children are diagnosed with cancer annually, and unfortunately, 18.4% of them abandon their treatment due to lack of economic resources. Inspira believes that no child should have to stop being a child because of illness, and they strive to foster conversation and community life.
Inspira is supported by philanthropy and is committed to accommodating as many low-income patients as possible from different regions of Peru during their oncological treatment and other complex diseases. Their values include solidarity, optimism, integrity, and gratitude.
Currently, Inspira has housed over 250 heroes and delivered more than 385,020 meals to their guests. They have received over 77,000 stays and are always grateful for the support they receive.
To sustain their mission, they rely on the support of volunteers and donations. You can become a hero by making a one-time donation or by becoming a monthly sponsor starting at S/5.00 (five soles). Your contribution will make a difference in the lives of the children at the Albergue Inspira.
For more information on how to donate or volunteer, visit their website or contact them through the provided phone number and email. Inspira is located in Santiago de Surco, Lima, Peru.
