Inspirit Jiu Jitsu is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy in Redondo Beach, California, offering training for children, adults, beginners, and experienced practitioners. Founded by head coach Rodrigo Freitas, a fourth-degree black belt with a background in training and competition, the academy emphasizes technical development alongside discipline, respect, resilience, and community. Its welcoming, family-oriented environment is designed to support students at different ages, experience levels, and goals, whether they are exploring martial arts, improving fitness, or preparing to compete.
Programs include classes for young children and older youth, kids’ competition training, homeschool sessions, women’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu conditioning, and adult fundamentals and advanced classes. The academy also offers adult striking instruction, tournaments, events, and instructional videos. Beginners can attend a free trial class, with instructors guiding them through an introduction to fundamental techniques and controlled partner drills. No prior martial arts experience is required, and students receive guidance on what to wear and how to get started.
