The Istituto Nazionale di Studi sul Rinascimento (INSR) is a research and cultural institution based at Palazzo Strozzi in Florence. Its statutory mission is to promote, coordinate and disseminate scholarship on the Renaissance. The Institute brings research together with traditional and digital publishing, supporting scientific studies and cultural initiatives while producing significant works and scholarly series, including Carteggi umanistici and the journal Rinascimento.

INSR also publishes the National Edition of the Works of Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, making texts without existing critical editions available in print and digital formats. Its library and photo archive support research through collections of books and periodicals, special collections, an online catalogue and a photographic catalogue. The Institute shares its resources through its library services and digital library, and presents events such as seminars and concerts.

For emerging scholars, INSR has established the Eugenio Garin postdoctoral school, focused on specialist study of Humanism and the Renaissance. Its website provides information about research projects, publications, events, institutional activities and library catalogues.
