Instinct Au

Instinct Au is an NDIS-registered behaviour support provider offering neurodivergent-affirming, autistic-led support. Its team of neurodivergent practitioners works with individuals, their families and wider support networks to better understand each person’s experiences, needs and responses to distress. The practice aims to help clients and the people around them identify coping strategies that suit their lifestyles and to make support more consistent and effective.

Instinct Au incorporates brain-based and sensory-based integration into its approach. Practitioners work to identify what may be contributing to distress, then implement environmental accommodations and help key people understand how to meet the client’s needs. This collaborative process is intended to create supportive everyday environments and help families and support networks respond in ways that work for the individual.

Led by neurodivergent perspectives, Instinct Au focuses on understanding each client rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. The practice provides behaviour support in partnership with clients and the people involved in their lives, with the goal of improving understanding and supporting practical strategies across daily settings.
