Institut d'anthropologie clinique

The Institut d’Anthropologie Clinique (IAC) is a Toulouse-based organisation bringing together professionals and expertise around clinical, social and health-related issues. Since 2008, it has provided continuing education for professionals working in social services, healthcare and medico-social settings. Its courses address family therapy, child protection, parenting, the clinical experience of exile, ethics and communication, using practical tools and an interdisciplinary approach. Training can be delivered across or within institutions, and the organisation is Qualiopi-certified.

IAC also operates a consultation centre offering individual psychotherapy, family and couples therapy, and support related to exile, domestic violence and severe parental conflict. Its clinical work is complemented by studies and research focused on challenges relevant to social work, health and medico-social practice. Drawing on dialogue between disciplines and theoretical and clinical approaches, these projects aim to develop concepts and practical tools that can help professionals improve their work. Through its training, consultations and research, IAC connects clinical practice with the wider needs of practitioners and the people they support.
