Instituto Gaia Soul

Instituto Gaia Soul is a Brazilian environmental organization founded in 2019 to promote ecological awareness and ocean literacy, particularly among young people. Guided by ecocentric values, it works to strengthen the relationship between people and nature and encourage protection of the ocean and its ecosystems. Its mission is to inform, engage, and inspire people to care for the ocean, through community projects, partnerships, educational activities, and public outreach.

The institute’s initiatives include Mata Quântica, which protects an area of Atlantic Forest and offers immersive retreats focused on reconnecting with nature; the Gaia Soul sailing project, which creates virtual-reality images and films to bring ocean experiences to people with limited access to the open sea; and talks on ocean culture and environmental preservation. In the Baía do Iguape region of Bahia, it supports fishing and shellfish-gathering families with community assistance, including donations of food, clothing, hygiene items, and children’s gifts. People can participate through volunteering, donations, partnerships, or by purchasing a campaign T-shirt to support the institute’s work.
