Instituto Kautsky

Instituto Kautsky is an organization based in Domingos Martins, Espírito Santo, that promotes environmental awareness and community engagement. Its activities focus on local environmental challenges, including water scarcity, pollution, watershed health, and the protection of native wildlife and forests. The institute works with schools, public agencies, and community partners to help residents understand how human actions affect local ecosystems.

Its initiatives include environmental education events, school activities, and public awareness campaigns. During its Week of the Environment, the institute presented information about the Córrego do Gordo and Jucu River, using photographs, videos, talks, and educational displays to highlight pollution and encourage conservation. Biologists and environmental authorities also took part in educational sessions for students.

The institute further encourages student-led environmental projects through the Roberto Anselmo Kautsky Award, which recognizes social and environmental projects developed in the municipality. Through these programs, Instituto Kautsky connects education with practical local issues and invites schools and residents to contribute to a more informed and environmentally responsible community.
