Instituto Nova Semente

Instituto Nova Semente is a therapeutic community in Floriano, Piauí, operated by Associação Instituto Nova Semente. It provides voluntary, residential support for men aged 18 and older experiencing problems related to the use, abuse, or dependence on psychoactive substances. Its mission is to offer care and psychosocial assistance while supporting family and social connection, professional development, and a dignified life.

The institute’s therapeutic program is designed to last eight months, followed by six months of technical support. Its approach combines psychological services, therapeutic and occupational workshops, educational activities, family meetings, physical activities, spiritual guidance, and community living. The program also aims to strengthen self-esteem, restore family relationships, prevent relapse, and prepare participants for social and professional reintegration. After treatment, vocational workshops and courses are planned to support skills development and readiness for work.

The institute also provides family guidance, prevention initiatives, volunteer training, and referrals to social assistance services. It invites community support, partnerships, and volunteering, and provides a transparency portal for its therapeutic project and accountability documents.
