Instituto Rio Itariri is a Brazilian organization dedicated to protecting animal life, with a particular focus on the care and conservation of wild fauna. Located in Pedro de Toledo, São Paulo, the institute receives wild animals sent through official channels, including victims of trafficking, injuries, burns, and traps. Its work includes providing safe accommodation, ongoing veterinary support, appropriate nutrition, and attention to animals’ physical and emotional well-being.

Recognizing that some animals cannot return to the wild, the institute responsibly maintains certain species in controlled environments, emphasizing welfare, ethical care, and compliance with the law. Its mission combines animal protection with a broader commitment to conservation and respect for life. The organization invites individuals and businesses to support its work through donations and partnerships, helping fund food, veterinary care, and secure places for animals in need. It also shares information, stories, and updates through its blog, image gallery, and live content.
