Institut sociální práce, z.s. is a Czech nonprofit organization founded by professionals in social services to improve public services and help people live at home for as long as possible, including when they need intensive support. The institute promotes high-quality, person-centered social care that responds to people’s assessed needs, respects their choices, and supports independence and inclusion. It advocates for care services to focus on professional support rather than tasks that can be met through ordinary commercial services, and to give particular attention to people with the greatest support needs.

Its work includes research, education, analysis, consultation, and practical collaboration with organizations in the Czech Republic and internationally. The institute provides training, seminars, lectures, and conferences; develops and delivers projects; and publishes informational materials. It also supports innovation and assistive technologies, advises on social-service practice, raises public awareness, and participates in consultations and decision-making concerning public services. Its activities are guided by a commitment to dignity, cooperation with families and other partners, and support in people’s natural environments.
