Insto Kaunisto Oy provides construction supervision services in the Turku region, with a focus on the role of the responsible site supervisor, also known in Finnish as a vastaava mestari or VTJ. For construction projects, this supervisor must be approved by the local building control authority, lead the construction work and take responsibility to the authorities for its execution. The authority provides project-specific guidance when granting the building permit and approving the supervisor.
The company’s services relate to carrying out this supervisory role; it does not offer building or structural design, or the preparation of drawings. Insto Kaunisto Oy may discuss principal designer duties for a standard project when a house supplier has excluded those tasks from its delivery and the site plan falls within the designer’s responsibilities. The company is also familiar with building information modelling (BIM), 3D scanning, virtual reality and energy simulation. During construction, basic thermal-camera observations and measurements can help examine building junctions before they are covered.
