INSTRUCT is an evidence-based market and policy instruments implementation project focused on increasing the demand for energy skills across the construction sector value chain in the European Union. The project aims to create a comprehensive operational framework that will enhance the number of skilled building professionals and blue-collar workers throughout the entire value chain, covering both renovations and new constructions. INSTRUCT offers a range of services, including raising awareness among home and building owners and tenants about the benefits of sustainable energy skills.

Moreover, the project aims to support public authorities in developing new legislative frameworks that require skilled workers in public procurement. INSTRUCT's objective is to raise stakeholders' awareness of environmental challenges, sustainability scenarios, energy efficiency targets, and the European Commission and governments' agendas. Through real-world demonstrations in five European areas, the deployment of instruments and tools for the recognition of energy skills and qualifications will be showcased.

The project also seeks to disseminate and raise awareness about its findings and expand its impact to the wider European context. Ultimately, the goal of INSTRUCT is to address the energy performance gap in buildings through a multidisciplinary and total lifecycle approach, contributing to the EU's energy and CO2 emission targets for 2030 and 2050. By improving the energy efficiency of buildings, this project aims to support the construction sector, an essential component of the EU strategy, and promote cost-effectiveness and productivity in the European construction industry
