About Insurance Control Commission
The Insurance Control Commission (ICC) is the regulatory authority responsible for the oversight and regulation of the insurance sector in Lebanon. Its mission is to facilitate the growth, development, and stability of the insurance industry, thereby contributing to Lebanon's sustainable economic growth. As an independent institution, the ICC ensures the efficiency and stability of the insurance market while safeguarding the interests of policyholders and other stakeholders.
By enforcing licensing and control measures, as well as imposing sanctions and disciplinary actions, the ICC acts as a vigilant watchdog against unfair market practices. The ICC also informs the public about relevant matters to increase transparency and enhance public confidence. Under the direct supervision of the Minister of Economy and Trade, the ICC operates with its own bylaws to ensure effective processes and procedures.
