Intalight is an ophthalmic technology company founded in 2014 by scientists and Silicon Valley industry veterans to advance eye-care technologies. After moving its operational base to mainland China in 2015, the company established sites in Silicon Valley, Shanghai, and Luoyang. Its flagship product, DREAM OCT™, is a swept-source optical coherence tomography imaging device introduced in 2019.
It combines deep imaging, rapid scanning, an extensive scan range, lesion detection, and multimodal imaging to support ophthalmologists in clinical practice and research. More than 170 peer-reviewed papers have reported findings based on DREAM OCT devices. The product received CE Mark certification in May 2025 and has been approved in Brazil; the company states that it is pending FDA approval and is not yet available for sale in the United States.
Intalight also convenes an international Medical Advisory Panel to connect clinical expertise with product development. Its portfolio is expanding beyond ophthalmic diagnostic devices to include operational instruments, with the stated aim of equipping eye-care professionals and benefiting patients worldwide
