The Interfaith Support Coalition (ISC) is a community-focused organization working to strengthen recovery and address the connected challenges of addiction, mental health, homelessness, and re-entry. Serving communities across Southern California, ISC brings together recovery residences, behavioral health providers, workforce organizations, housing and re-entry partners, nonprofits, public agencies, and faith communities to create more coordinated pathways to support.
ISC helps build partnerships between churches and service providers, equipping faith leaders with education, tools, and referral connections. Its work includes support for recovery housing, mental health awareness, family stability, workforce development, and successful transitions back into the community. Through mentoring, volunteering, family support, education, and social connection, faith communities contribute to long-term recovery.
The coalition also advances practical financial education through its Empowerment for Recovery Initiative. This program aims to help adults in recovery housing build skills in budgeting, banking, credit, debt, employment, and housing management, supporting greater stability and economic independence. By coordinating local partners and resources, ISC seeks to strengthen recovery support and improve outcomes for individuals and families.
