Intermedia Producciones

Intermedia Producciones is an audiovisual production company focused on stories that are often overlooked, silenced or uncomfortable. Its work combines an ethical and aesthetic commitment with documentary filmmaking that gives visibility to marginalized communities and social realities. The company has produced feature-length documentaries recognized with national and international awards, as well as fiction short films that have supported emerging directors. Since 1996, it has also made videos for a range of institutions and organizations, with particular experience collaborating with groups committed to human rights.

Intermedia’s projects explore themes including Indigenous rights, cultural memory, music, social justice and historical change. Recent work includes Uyariy, about the 2023 killings in Juliaca, and films examining Andean musical heritage and Indigenous knowledge. The company is also participating in the international EDGES project, producing four documentary shorts about Indigenous communities. Other projects include Salta la Tapia, on a landmark festival and psychiatric reform in Andalusia, and Desarmando la Memoria, a documentary coproduction with Colombian company Guateque Cine.
