The International Brigade Memorial Trust (IBMT) is dedicated to honoring the 2,500 volunteers from Britain and Ireland who bravely fought against fascism and defended democracy during the Spanish Civil War (1936-39). Founded in 2001, the IBMT aims to preserve the memory of these individuals and their supporters through a range of educational, cultural, and commemorative efforts. This registered charity organizes key annual events including the Len Crome memorial lecture in March, a July commemoration in London, and an October Annual General Meeting.

In addition to maintaining over 100 memorials across the British Isles, the IBMT provides resources such as newsletters, lectures, and a magazine to engage the public and facilitate research on the International Brigades. Their online platforms further enhance awareness of this significant historical legacy.
