International Swimmers' Alliance

The International Swimmers’ Alliance is an organization focused on improving personal and economic opportunities for swimmers by bringing swimming into the era of modern sports. Its mission responds to an imbalance in professional swimming: event organizers, governing bodies, and national and international federations generate substantial revenue, while swimmers receive only a small share. The Alliance calls for professional swimmers to unite, make their voices heard, and secure a fairer share of the value they help create.

The organization works to represent swimmers’ interests and promote change in the structure of professional competitions. Its core team includes Olympic champions Chad Le Clos of South Africa, Katinka Hosszu of Hungary, Ranomi Kromowidjojo of the Netherlands, and Matt Biondi of the United States, each identified as a board member. The Alliance also publishes monthly email updates about its work and related issues, giving supporters and interested readers a way to stay informed. Through advocacy, communications, and swimmer-led leadership, it aims to expand opportunities across the sport.
