About Interreg Euro-MED Programme
Interreg Euro-MED is a European Transnational Cooperation Programme dedicated to fostering sustainability and smart governance within the Mediterranean region. With a total budget of approximately 294 million euros for the 2021-2027 period, Interreg Euro-MED provides funding to a diverse range of projects run by public administrations, universities, private entities, and civil society organizations. Its mission is centered on addressing climate change and environmental challenges by supporting initiatives that promote an innovative sustainable economy, protect natural heritage, and enhance green living areas and sustainable tourism.
The programme operates across 69 regions in 14 countries along the Northern Mediterranean shore, covering multiple EU Member States as well as pre-accession countries. Interreg Euro-MED not only champions crucial environmental goals but also seeks to improve collaboration among stakeholders through various projects and initiatives, further strengthening regional ties and enhancing the quality of life in Mediterranean communities
