About North Sea Region
Interreg North Sea is a brand that focuses on creating positive change in the North Sea Region through EU-funded projects. With a mission to drive a more sustainable and inclusive Europe, Interreg North Sea funds game-changing ideas that benefit the region's sixty million citizens. From supporting just transitions away from fossil fuels to promoting energy efficiency, biodiversity, and green mobility, their projects aim to build a more sustainable society for all.
Operating in collaboration with seven countries, including Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, and the Netherlands, Interreg North Sea has been promoting cross-border cooperation since 1997. As part of the European Union's Interreg programme, they facilitate partnerships and address pressing regional issues. With a total EU budget of €8 billion from 2021-2027, Interreg North Sea contributes to a greener and smarter Europe where no one is left behind.
