Intzadel

Zorgboerderij Praktijk Intzadel is a care farm and practice in Oud-Vossemeer, on the island of Tholen in the Netherlands. It supports people with mild intellectual, psychiatric, and/or psychological disabilities through guidance and daytime activities. Its approach follows the rehabilitation model, focusing on strengthening individual skills and building on each person’s abilities. Respectful communication, non-judgment, curiosity, and personal identity are central to its work.

Alongside care and support, Intzadel offers equine therapy, horse-assisted coaching, CREF treatments, and equine guidance. Its activities also include workshops, riding lessons, and horse breeding. The farm welcomes people who wish to explore themselves with or without a horse, reflecting its belief that becoming yourself is a meaningful goal. Intzadel applies a quality system of the Federation for Agriculture and Care; the practice notes that equine therapy, horse-assisted coaching, CREF treatments, and equine guidance are not covered by that system. The team works with a group of horses, including Tinkers, Clydesdales, Drumhorses, a Friesian, and a Shetland pony.
